QUOTE (winxclubrox23 @ Oct 17 2012, 07:16 PM) This episode wasn't bad. It wasn't my favourite, but it wasn't bad. The other Harmonixes were really pretty. Layla's, Flora's and Musa's are probably my favourites. I really like how we're going to be able to see the other girl's realms, even if it's mostly underwater. Five seasons is a very, very long time to wait and it's about time.
The selkies aren't especially exciting, and the bonding seems rather unnecessary. I think it's a bit silly to assume that all of these planets would have oceans on them. If you just look in our solar system, Earth is the only one, with Mars having some traces of water. Why would the Magic Dimension be any different? Ah well. I suppose they have to tie the plot together some how. Yes, but... isn't water one of the prime reasons that Earth is the only habitable planet we know of? Would make sense for most inhabited planets to have at least some large bodies of water.

I suppose they have to tie the plot together some how. I agree with p-girl. Also they say it's the magical dimension, not solar system, we don't know how big it is. I doubt all these planets are near each other, perhaps they are in a sense the earth type planet of their own solar system, and habitats planets for humans need to have water. Fairies are essentially magical humans but they still need stuff to live off of. On a side note, don't know for sure but I think it's been implied that their are regular humans on their planets to, it's just strange on earth because fairies were forgotten. As for the selkies, it's already been said. Just curious if Roxie actually gets one because there's a picture of seven Selkies, 6 are obvious because of colouring and decorations (flames, flowers, stars) but the seventh is (Roxie's pants) blue and that pinky purple, and her decoration is butterflies.

I don't like the whole bonding thing, it is way to similar to bonding with pixies and look how close that bond is, they barely see them anymore! I get this might be a different type, but it just feels like the same thing happening all over again.
I didn't like this episode as much as some of the other ones. There were cool parts like getting to see a different part of Solaria besides the palace and the transformations, as well as Sky getting his memory back. It wasn't as cheesey as I had imagined they would probably do, so that is good I guess.
What I don't get is, where are all the other guys. Brandon randomly popped up in this episode, which I am extremely happy about, but I am hoping the other guys come into the picture soon. Especially maybe next week when they go to Musa's planet, something I am really excited to see.

I see the topic is largely on oceans and geography of the planets and the selkies, and I'm in agreement with pretty much all of it. Ha. (Especially with Humbu on seeing more of Zenith!)
This may have been brought up before on previous episodes topics, but I feel the need to vent my frustrations to the understanding forum group, so on the chance of being repetitive, I must. : P My biggest pet peeve with Season 5 (and to a greater extent, 4) is the lack of substantial character growth and depth. I have listened and been through the relatively petty problems the girls are having this season, and not for lack of caring, I just don't seem to have the sympathy and cheerleading power I once had for them in the first 3 seasons. Instead of being "goody-goody", I miss the more true down-to-earth dialogue from the earlier seasons. Don't get me wrong, I love positivity, but let's not lose reality either. I need the girls to have character flaws, to be feisty, to have fights, to show more emotion than "oh that poor hurt animal" or "oh that Selkie is sooo cute". I know it's ultimately once again up to the creators to make the show as dumbed-down as they want to make it, but... the non-personalities are too much. They could do better (not that they necessarily will). Spice up the dialogue, give the characters back their character, and please no more "goody-goodiness". The girls are so "perfect" and have such dwindling personalities and relationships that it's boring.
Once again, sorry for any repetition from earlier topics. I haven't been on the forum for a while and (unfortunately?) vented right on the spot.
