Last week, the Winx girls got their Harmonix powers, and set off on a quest to find some gems. This week, they're starting with Andros...

Zap2It summary:
The Winx obtain the gem of self-confidence; the Trix and the Tritannus' mutants attack Gardenia to spread more pollution.

it was good and we see that they can bond with the little mermaids that they meet and we see the others transform and sky memory came back a little when bloom was in danger and can not wait for next sun!!!!

I liked it and although I am disappointed we have pixies version 2 (Selkie). I also liked how Musa's hair at the end looks like a fish tail (a bit). However my comment about transformations from the last episode still stands.

I am also glad that we will see melody and I guess/hope we will see all 3 realms as we have had Stella and Layla/Aisha for self confidence. Gem 2 (Empathy) is hopefully Musa and someone else. Them Gem 3 (I forget) hopefully the other 2 left. Although I cannot see it happen.

So which Harmonix is your favourite. For me its Stella closely followed by Flora.

@Marty, i agree the selkies are just too pixie like for me. i mean i get that last season there where the pets and season 3 was pixies but i feel like it takes away from the actual story line.

aside im loving Flora's Harmonix and Stella's as well, for some reason i dont really like the rest although they're pretty i found them a little blank - exept for Aisha's who looks awsome this season.

i cant empahises how much i love Sky this season. ohmygod he's my new favorite specialist - sorry Helia~

The worst part about the selkies is that they don't seem to have individual personalities. The bonding seems so unnecessary. But, if they're all bonding with the selkie from their home planet, maybe this means we get to see Zenith too =D

I liked the episode, I liked how Sky started regaining his memory when he saw Bloom in trouble. It was a bit odd how little Stella and Layla seemed to care when Flora was turned to stone though lol, I don't think they knew it was reversible at the time :S

I love the episode. xD The animation is just too pretty! Stella's world around the ocean and underwater were pretty. o.o

Love the transformation for Musa, Tecna, and Flora. ^_^
Now I'm still having trouble deciding which is my favorite Harmonix. xD I love them all.

The bonding with the Selkies were sweet, but it won't last long. =S The Selkies are the keepers of the gate of the realms. So I guess the Selkies have the connection with each of the Winx Members since that's their home world and the Winx helped regain their powers back. They will be helping the Winx, but once the Winx goes back to their land. We won't see them again, only underwater.

(This is off topic: I'm so curious what happened to the Love&Pets and the business? o.o I even wonder who is taking care of them? =S Will they explain in Season 5? Seems like they forgot all about them?)

I find it sweet that Sky is starting to remember. xD Aw, I was so hoping when are they going to find his Pendant? xD

I can't wait for more.

Can't wait to see Musa's realm this Sunday. ^_^

This episode wasn't bad. It wasn't my favourite, but it wasn't bad. The other Harmonixes were really pretty. Layla's, Flora's and Musa's are probably my favourites. I really like how we're going to be able to see the other girl's realms, even if it's mostly underwater. Five seasons is a very, very long time to wait and it's about time.

The selkies aren't especially exciting, and the bonding seems rather unnecessary. I think it's a bit silly to assume that all of these planets would have oceans on them. If you just look in our solar system, Earth is the only one, with Mars having some traces of water. Why would the Magic Dimension be any different? Ah well. I suppose they have to tie the plot together some how.

Yes, but... isn't water one of the prime reasons that Earth is the only habitable planet we know of? Would make sense for most inhabited planets to have at least some large bodies of water.

You need fresh water to survive. I'm sure these planets could have some sort of underground fresh water reservoir. I think, in a sense, these planets are more like countries, because it seems doubtful that Stella, for example, would be the princess of the entire planet. Therefore, some of them would probably survive as landlocked countries do on Earth.

I get that, but I don't know.... I've never been a fan of the single-ecosystem-planets you often see in Sci-Fi. So I like that all these planets at least have oceans.

I agree with p-girl. Also they say it's the magical dimension, not solar system, we don't know how big it is. I doubt all these planets are near each other, perhaps they are in a sense the earth type planet of their own solar system, and habitats planets for humans need to have water. Fairies are essentially magical humans but they still need stuff to live off of.

On a side note, don't know for sure but I think it's been implied that their are regular humans on their planets to, it's just strange on earth because fairies were forgotten.

As for the selkies, it's already been said. Just curious if Roxie actually gets one because there's a picture of seven Selkies, 6 are obvious because of colouring and decorations (flames, flowers, stars) but the seventh is (Roxie's pants) blue and that pinky purple, and her decoration is butterflies.

I don't like the whole bonding thing, it is way to similar to bonding with pixies and look how close that bond is, they barely see them anymore! I get this might be a different type, but it just feels like the same thing happening all over again.

I didn't like this episode as much as some of the other ones. There were cool parts like getting to see a different part of Solaria besides the palace and the transformations, as well as Sky getting his memory back. It wasn't as cheesey as I had imagined they would probably do, so that is good I guess.

What I don't get is, where are all the other guys. Brandon randomly popped up in this episode, which I am extremely happy about, but I am hoping the other guys come into the picture soon. Especially maybe next week when they go to Musa's planet, something I am really excited to see.

I aggree with P-girl. However I do think that some are Princess of the whole planet like Bloom but that may be by default as only her realm is around now.

i always imagined that each realm was a planet, for example Galatea is a princess from the same realm as Musa and although Musa isnt a princess she is from the royal line~ perhaps Galatea inherited Musa's royalty after her side of the family disconected themselves but because Musa never treats Galatea as a sister nor as anyone too close its possible they're from different countries but the same realm. i dont know they never clear that up. then again its also possible they are whole planets and Stella and Aisha are only princesses to one country or a commonwealth like the Queen Elizabeth here.

~im starting to confuse myself~

I always imagined planets and that the rulers had domain over the whole planet since they never explained if they had separate continents and territories.

I see the topic is largely on oceans and geography of the planets and the selkies, and I'm in agreement with pretty much all of it. Ha. (Especially with Humbu on seeing more of Zenith!)

This may have been brought up before on previous episodes topics, but I feel the need to vent my frustrations to the understanding forum group, so on the chance of being repetitive, I must. : P My biggest pet peeve with Season 5 (and to a greater extent, 4) is the lack of substantial character growth and depth. I have listened and been through the relatively petty problems the girls are having this season, and not for lack of caring, I just don't seem to have the sympathy and cheerleading power I once had for them in the first 3 seasons. Instead of being "goody-goody", I miss the more true down-to-earth dialogue from the earlier seasons. Don't get me wrong, I love positivity, but let's not lose reality either. I need the girls to have character flaws, to be feisty, to have fights, to show more emotion than "oh that poor hurt animal" or "oh that Selkie is sooo cute". I know it's ultimately once again up to the creators to make the show as dumbed-down as they want to make it, but... the non-personalities are too much. They could do better (not that they necessarily will). Spice up the dialogue, give the characters back their character, and please no more "goody-goodiness". The girls are so "perfect" and have such dwindling personalities and relationships that it's boring.

Once again, sorry for any repetition from earlier topics. I haven't been on the forum for a while and (unfortunately?) vented right on the spot.

I understand where you are coming from. I wonder if I will also feel that way. It would be sad if they were writing in such a way just because they could (or it was cheaper).

Perhaps they think the audience has rebooted and are going for a younger, less discriminating demographic. But the first time around in season one, they did not lower their writing. It is not like season 5 was rushed out. Straffi has access to talented writers. I can only wonder what decisions they made behind the scenes around conference tables.

The good thing is I do appreciate a magic-universe plot again. After finally leaving Earth and coming back to Magix (and other lands), the adventure part is singing to me again. So while the girls themselves are rather dry and uniform, the magic universe and villains are (at the moment) holding up well. The plot is much more focused than last season. (And no Love and Pet!)

I hope and believe you will enjoy Season 5 more no matter what, regardless of how awesome the first season was. It's hard to hold a candle to that one. I shouldn't do this, but I still compare each season to the first one. It's classic and nostalgic, what can I say?

I noticed that today actually. This morning while doing my hair I turned on teen nick ( I think it was that channel?) and they had on an episode of season 3 so I watched it. I realized that I liked that episode way better than the episodes in season 5 so far just because of the way the characters interacted. It didn't seem a cheesy and was more down to earth. It was when they went to save sky from Diaspro and Valtor's spell. Riven took them there and he was pretty down to earth and being realistic about how they might not succeed and I appreciated this.

Going along with Riven, I hated that he all of a sudden became so unsure in season 4. I get he "had" to change for Musa, but I feel like they changed him way too much and made him into a completely different person. And now he is barely in season 5 =(. I am hoping he will be in the next episode since it seems like it will be more based on Musa though!

I'm noticing that too. This Season a lot of characters are acting very "FLAT". It's like the best scriptwriters are working on the comics.
