Flora, definitely. Especially in the third season when she gets a spine; I like that she's nature-loving and kind, but also powerful and tactical without being snobbish about herself. And when she attacks the witches for knocking her sister into the lake? I love her change in tone. It really shows how she's matured.

Exactly. I feel like in the first two seasons, to an extent, it took a lot to push her over the edge. In the third season, she's still sweet and kind, but she stands up for herself.

yeah, i just don't like how out of no where flora has a little sister. i was kinda hoping we would get to see floras parents and maybe some of her past (we have seen stella when she was little, musa, bloom, and layla but not tecna or flora)

Yeah, Tecna has remained kind of an enigma, hasn't she? And I would like to know more about Flora's past as well, come to think of it. I was so surprised to hear that she had a sister. (Especially one such as Miele, who looks almost nothing like her.)

oh I know! makes you wonder what her parents look like then. I mean her sister was like all formal wearing a flowery dress and flowers in her hair but flora just had on casual clothes.

I actually wasnt suprised to hear she had a sister... I wonder what flora's parents look like too....

Bloom Stella and Flora is my fave. Among three of them, I like Bloom most as she believe in magic/her dreams. But for personality, I choose Stella as my behaviour really looks like her! LOL XD

my favorite fairy is stella, followed by layla
I love stella so much because she's funny (especially when it comes to her clothes), she's kind to her friends, loves brandon that she jumps into a cliff (I think) and saves her father after all that he did to her!
Layla on the other hand is cool because she's sportive and likes to dance. I think it is great she doesn't need a boyfriend to be happy and her loyalty to the pixies and her power rocks

I find Stella to be amazingly irritating; sometimes I just want to punch her, honestly. And especially in the second season, Bloom was really annoying too. She was so "Oh, look at me, I don't know who I am, woe is I, everyone's out to get me, sob story!" I was just like "Get over yourself, darling, don't be such a drama queen."

Oh Bloom is not annoying,She is nice. I know a lot of PPls hate her cuz she is the main character and every episode is about her(Not all Episodes). And as for Stella, TELL YOU SHE IS NOT IRRITATING. I'm not...gossiping... I'm just stating my opinion... I find Stella to be irritating, it's no big. Not every fan likes every character. And I don't hate Bloom because she's the main character; a lot of times, I like the main character in a show. I just find Bloom's character to be over the top in the drama queen department, especially in the second season.

I'd love to see that, but if the movie is all about Bloom, I don't know how much time there'll be for real romantic development outside of her and Sky. Kind of leaving us hanging with that. Oh oh, you know what would really be annoying is if in the movie they act like Musa and Riven are a well-established couple.

I like musa because she knows what she is set out for to do in life. She doesn't hesatate to say whats on her mind and er enchantix is really pretty.
List of winx girls in order I like them:
1.Musa 2.Tecna 3. Flora 4.Stella 5. Bloom
I really like flora also but i like tecna a itty bit more because she is so smart and she has a good taste in style...

I know. The first season was all about bloom and so was the second season. The show focuses too much on her. If the show is going to be about her, they shouldn't really call it winx club even though she was the main character in the beginning.

Even though I am Bloom's big Fan, I have to agree that the creator of winx clu focused at Bloom too much. See this show is about all the winx and specialists not only Bloom! They should focuse the other winx as well!

I heard that Mirta father was a wizard or a witch and her mom was a faerie or it can be the other way around. Maybe when Rose was little she was really scared and all and Flora protected her and stuff.

True. She was basically a witch from cloud tower who was shy and all then came to alfea.
I wish they told more about her past like for one episode.

I know what you are saying, I just think it would be funny if Flora did call her sister a chicken. Siblings do act differently towards eachother than they do towards others.
I'm a really, really calm guy. I guess you could say that I'm the male equivilent to Flora's calm. However my sister just knows how to push my buttons and set me off.

I think Rose (is it rose?) looks ten or somewhere around that age. I also can imagine Flora being a big sister. It does seem unlike Flora to call someone a chicken.

I loved that episode. I watched it twice so far. I don't have a lot of time to watch t.v. or anything, though today I have a lot of free time on my hands.
Usually I'm on the internet at school. Whenever I have free time in class I get on forums or something.

Flora is kind of that nice gentle type but then she can sometimes be very well protective like when Rose was drowning and other times.

I'm really disappointed in the 4kids episode of The Show Must Go On (Musa's concert). I have seen the Rai version (in Dutch that is) and I personally think it was way better. These are a few things 4kids changed about Musa:
- in 4kids she is a (disowned?) princess, but in the rai version she is actually really poor! In the rai version they explain that they didn't have enough money to buy food, so also no medication for Musa's mother when she got ill. That's why her mother died.
- 4kids cut of a lot of scenes where Musa stands in front of the grave of her mother, and Musa tells her mom what happened before and during her concert.
- 4kids first made Musa's solo come, and then the song with Stella. The rai is the other way around.
- Rai lets Musa discusses about Riven with her father, and at the end of the episode (when Riven helps Musa's father up) her father says he has misjudged him.
- A lot of 'pictures' from Musa's past were taken out, although they gave a lot of information with it.
- Also important fact (not in the episode of Musa's concert but still pretty important if you ask me) Layla and Musa are best friends.

yeah i was mad when they took so much out of that episode. she is my second favorite character and i just would have liked to see more in 4kids tv. plus i love that song her and stella sang and 4kids changed it! that made me mad.

I hate how 4kids cut out scenes with Musa and her mom... again, they're trying to turn winx into a little kiddy show, (I guess they dont want it to be depressing, but honestly, they should just keep it the way it is, in other words, take it in and just deal with it.)
they cut sooo much out of the concert... how disappointing.

Yeah? Oh, man, I had no idea. I mean, I guessed Musa and Aisha were best friends, but the other stuff...totally over my head. I have a lot more respect for Musa as a character. (Although I still hate all her "slang.")

yeah in north america we are all for the kid shows, like there isn't already. winx should be more like teen shows because a lot of teenagers like it and then it could have more romance and stuff in it you know?? Yeah i think that like tecna and musa were pretty close to each other too since they are roommates but they were closer in the first season. I think layla and musa bond more because i guess musa didn't have many friends until she came to alfea and layla didn't either you know? they explained that in one of the english eipsodes.

Maybe 4kids think that they own winx club. But they DO NOT own them as it was not created by them. They just dubbed and edit it. The voices of each characters are okay, but the editing sucks like hell

I doubt that 4Kids thinks they actually own Winx Club, but they definitely think they know what the public wants when it's receiving Winx Club. Which they don't. They seem to think a show about fairies and witches and heroes will appeal mostly to the younger age bracket (that is, 7-9) and thus they dub it as such. Of course, that's stupid, as the show is SUPPOSED to be targeted for the bracket 9-12 and even with its crappy dubbing, it still attracts an age much higher than that.

I doubt that too... If Rai gave 4Kids the rights to air the show in America, they would've given them the rights to air the entire show. You can't really copyright a glittery star, such as the one Stella makes when she's using her fairy powder. All the cuts must have been made by 4Kids for time constraints and age restrictions. The star is the only one I can't figure out the purpose of.

i think flora's the best..she is sweet.pretty..mostly nice but when she has to be..she's tough..strong..smart.. and has a great personality...then i like stella and bloom..you know somthing weird..even though i like flora the best..i think stella's the prettiest..pluz she has all the knowlage with guys and dating..this is my personal rank of the girls from prettiest to less prettiest because none of them are ugly..they are all pretty stella..flora..bloom..musa..techna. And you see how flora's like really shy..helia is more shy then her..and when she's around him she acts less shy and has more character..i luv this show..it's addicting!!

Too bad shy and shy doesn't go together in real life. I tried going out with a girl once, but her father wouldn't let her date. We could see eachother in groups though so we went to a movie with around 5-6 other people. I 'tried' to hold a conversation but it was really awkward and we barely got past "Hi"

I used to like Flora the best, but then I kinda got annoyed because she was too sweet. I like Stella now, weird. I used to not like her. But both Flora and Stella have changed. Stella isn't as bossy as in the 1st season and Flora's being less shy and sweet. So, maybe I'll change my opinion again soon.

I liked Musa at first, but then I got so sick of her street talk that I wanted to beat her. Sad downside of the 4Kids dub (among others). I never liked Stella, I don't think...and Flora's "Oh, goody!" gets on my nerves (ah, 4Kids, what have you done?) but she's still my favorite. Aisha, I have never really liked much at all, and Bloom is such the drama queen that I can't really like her all the time. I like season three Tecna a lot more than seasons one and two Tecna, though.

In any case, I think the dialogue in the Rai version is way better, cause Flora doesn't say oh goody and Musa doesn't use slang (maybe a little, but not above average or something)

No kidding. I understand Tecna not saving someone specifically from Zenith and getting her enchantix anyway, but Bloom didn't save anyone. I don't get it, she was freakin' out about not getting her enchantix in the beginning of the season and then suddenly it stops being a problem?

Please. Her power source is the Dragonfire and that's all there is to it. The English version likes to pitch "determination" or "teamwork" or some other nonsense as a power source because it more closely connects the characters to real people.

Stella is the best as she is so cool, caring, smart, good looking she has got a good attiude forth right yet sensative. Also has the coolest enchantix and powers. Also could be more powerful than Bloom if releases dragon from her ring.

Uh...no...the Dragon who created the universe is inside Bloom. Domino (a.k.a. Sparks) was its last resting place. Bloom, as the princess of Domino, had the Dragonfire hidden inside of her to protect it.

Bloom suspected that the dragon was hidden in the Ring of Solaria (of Stella's) but it really wasn't, it was inside of her. (season 1 info there)

The ring isn't Solaria's power source; that's the Hall of the Universe, as far as I know. But it does have a lot of power in it. Stella uses it almost solely to perform her attacks in the first season.

So Stella had no powers in season one then and depended on the ring for her powers? So does she even need to ring anymore. One time, Tecna used her technology for teleporting instead for Stella's ring so I don't find a need for the ring.

I think the ring can transport to "friendly" places, such as Alfea or Linphea. The technology is necessary to get to dangerous, more heavily guarded places, or places under attack such as Andros.

Oh...that is weird that the ring only can teleport to those places. I'm guessing it can go to earth also. I'm referring to the first episode when she was on earth. I wonder why she was there anyways.

I know that in the 4kids version stella had been freeking out about takeing a test or something because she said her winx wasn't as strong as the other girls and that her ring/staff gave her most of her power.
Its hard for me to pick a fav fairy...they all are so cool in their own way and they balance eachother out.

Stella was a fairy, but she was not a strong fairy by any stretch of the imagination.

True enough. She was a fairy, and she had her own transformed fairy state, but she was very weak and a bad student, as evidenced by the fact that she was expelled once. I believe she didn't work hard at being a good student or a good fairy, since she could rely on her ring. Shortsightedness on her part, since rings can be stolen.

no I'm pretty sure she was a fairy, I means them being fairies is like us being human....she just wasn't has strong..I'm going to say because of lack of practice, if you remember she stayed back a year...but as the series progresses she improves and becomes more powerful, all those battles lol

Yeah, I remember that. She was sort of self-centered in the first season, no? I mean...maybe she'd do something for the team at some point, or for Bloom, her new best friend, but really, she was focused on herself.

I think it could've been anything. Maybe her old roommates weren't willing to put up with her selfishness and acted coldly towards her, as opposed to the Winx girls who accept her and are willing to deal with her major malfunctions until she comes into her own and realizes she has to care about others as well as herself.

Probably. Maybe the other students were like whispering and saw her as the Princess of Solaria every second. Bloom, Flora, Musa, and Tecna treat her like a real friend. They were in a triple with two doubles and a single. So yes, that's how they met, because they were in the same triple. Basically they were in the same "room," just divided up into three actual rooms because Alfea has sweet dorms.

My favorite fairy has got to be Bloom. Followed up with Stella, then Flora, then Tecna, then Layla and lastly Musa. Bloom is okay, but sometimes she acts kinda all that. Stella is totally awesome, but I hate it when she's complaining for pointless little things. Flora is o-kay, but she should learn to become less shy and DUMP HELIA. Tecna is cool, but I dislike the way they made her enchantix longer, she should've gotten alot more volume.

She just doesn't have that sense of attachment that the others have, and she stole Musa from Tecna. I was ticked when Tecna was practically fazed out because of Layla.

Just one more thing: And Winx hasn't? 'Music in my heart', 'Tears of the Black Willow' and the whole Chimera/Cassandra arc tend to disagree. Same for the whole Downland arc, I mean, whose boyfriend was supposed to marry queen Amentia? I can name many more. How about Tecna's problem with the fake Avalon? *Goes on and on and on*
No offence, but Winx isn't just about Bloom. There are plenty of story arcs not about her. Just the large, enveloping one, and Sailor Moon had that as well (As far as I know).
My point: If you stop focusing on a problem, it'll lessen, trust me. Focus on the things you DO like. Life's much easier that way.

THANK YOU!!! I wholeheartedly agree!! I thought I was the only one who noticed that Layla stole Musa from Tecna. XD Layla was thrown in there for politically correct reasons, I think. The least they could've done was made her interesting. Layla's like Musa and Bloom ((wanting to prove herself)) fused.
I know most people don't like Bloom because they think she's whiny and selfcentered, but I like her. I love her powers and her determination, she's also uber passionate about what she does. However, there are times when I want to whack her myself...but its all out of love!! XD lol Though Bloom and Stella are my main favorites and usually take center stage, I really do like Musa and Flora and Tecna flat out rocks, she can hack and code anything!! XD Makes me soo jealous. Layla's just so flat character-wise, you know?

I'm definitely in agreement about Musa being stolen from Tecna, which may have been the main route in which Tecna would have received adequate screen time. And no offense to the Layla/Aisha fans but I've never been able to accept her yet. She never fully integrated herself with the entire Winx Club. It was okay for her to start out as the loner, but she should have gotten past that by now and to me it still feels like she distances herself too much. (And of course there's my bias toward her coming in as yet the sixth Winx girl and taking yet more screen time from the rest of the girls).
Besides that I also still like Bloom, while she may not be my favorite. She'll never rank higher than the other girls because her personality is too much of a stock character, but I wouldn't be watching the show if I disliked her. She's a very sweet, kind person, always helpful, and a great fighter. She's a great friend to everyone and even has an endearing relationship with Sky. If anything, the reason why I get so ticked at Bloom isn't a fault of her character. The fault lies with Straffi giving her too much airtime, because realistically, the other characters are changing and going through problems at the same time Bloom is, we just never see enough of the other characters due to Straffi's control of airtime. That's my main beef: I just want to see more of the other characters.

I'm glad this subject has been brought up! I feel the same way about Layla stealing Musa. I mean, heck, there was even a time in the series where Layla stole Tecna's room (more specifically her bed), one night when talking to Musa. Now... who is Musa's roommate again? It seemed to me like Tecna and Musa were close friends during season 1 (probably because of them sharing a room), but during season 2 and 3, it was all Layla and Musa and their tight friendship bond. Kind of shoved Tecna out of the way there... (it seemed that they made her hang around Flora more; like during class once for an example). Kind of funny because, except for the fact that both of them act mature compared to some of their friends, they seem to be opposites... (nature... technology.... hmmm...)
The only reason I liked Layla at all was because she was independent (even if that was even blown out of proportion a bit). Now that that part is out the window, I can't see a reason to like her much. Ok, maybe one, she likes sports, (or so we think), since this has never really been displayed too often during the series. Honestly, she's a boring character... she needs to have more personality.
I personally don't like Bloom... she's just too nice, too perfect, and she is made out to seem too 'normal'. I think that the creators tried too hard to make her seem like a great character... to be the one viewers supposedly could relate to. Plus, all of her airtime bugs me to no end... that and all this jazz with her past and all (which contributes the greatest to her huge mass of screen-time). I just always found her to be boring. But I do respect her fans; my sister herself is a MAJOR Bloom fan...

I disagree, she has one VERY discernable flaw which played trough three seasons and the movie: When a girl's around Sky, wether it's Diaspro, or just a simple messenger, she gets extremely jealous, possessive and paranoid (In the 'OMG, another girl within an inch from him, he doesn't love me anymore!'-way).
Sorry, I just had to point that out. I mean, for a perfect girl, she doesn't allow many girls around HER man. (Someone around the forum, there's the fun little fact about this girl being modelled after Straffi's wife.... with this in mind, all I can say is..... ouch.)

That is a good point. I failed to remember her jealousy issues. I think her relationship with Sky would be one of her imperfections... I think her being perfect falls under her being so nice to everyone and caring, as well as her being super powerful, pretty, and how everything just falls into place for her. Plus, she's determined and optimistic most of the time. And before she came to Magix... they tried to make her seem like a good-hearted normal teen from earth (if you notice the scenes in the beginning where she was on earth; she acted waayy too flawless.)
But at the same time, I realize that the creators tend to throw a lot of things at her to make her have a rough time during the series, (like making her feel different at first, and the whole family thing). They also make her have the emotional break downs, (she seems to be the only one that gets those to the point where she attempts to leave everything). Like the rest of the characters don't have stress too or something... I think they just did that to make viewers feel bad for her though.
I never said I hated Layla Hate is such a strong word. I just said that she's boring anymore. I wish she was still independent; I'd like her a whole lot better.

Layla, I just resented her since she was the new one in the group, but over time I have come to like her. I do agree Bloom seemed way to perfect, and she also seems to be the one with all the problems. I started disliking her when she left Alfea in the first season because of the Day of the Royals, I thought she was being so selfish then "Oh I ruined everything so I don't deserve to be here, no matter what my friends say I'm leaving em" I mean if I had friends like that I would never leave like that. Plus in season two when she was talking to Sky and he just wanted to talk about something in person, she totally freaked out thinking it was about Diaspro and yelled at him, and got angry, when he did nothing at all.

I had one other beef with Bloom that falls in the "perfection" category. Maybe it just seems this way to me, but every time there is a problem in almost any episode who is it that comes up with the clever solution? There were so many times when Bloom would be the "smart" one, as if no one else had a clever thought. Yeah, I know the other characters may add something to help once in a while, but to me it really seemed like Bloom was the designated leader and doer of the group, always coming up with the solution when they were in a bind. To me that was pretty annoying, as if the other girls (or guys) couldn't have the spotlight once to be the hero of the moment. That and it isn't realistic--the other characters would also have good input. But it goes back to she's the main character, she has to be the one to put things right, even if in the real world things don't always piece together so easily all the time. I know in the comics she is almost always the one to come up with the main solutions to most problems. *shrug* I might be the only one who feels like this. Still, I don't dislike her character, just her spotlight time relative to the other characters.

I totally agree with you. I mean, does she have to get the spotlight every time? Why not, just for the heck of it, let another character shine for once? Honestly. We all know by now that Bloom is oh so great and oh so powerful; why not bring out the other characters for a bit? Even if it's a little thing; like you said, coming up with an idea and such. Kind of funny how we're told that Bloom isn't one of the smartest members, but those who are don't come up with ideas nearly as much as she does. I also dislike it how they devote so much screentime as it is for her and yet even the littlest scenes go to her as well... let's see some of the other characters!
I know it's a main character thing; but she's popular enough, why not just stray away from her for a little bit so, possibly, the other characters can 'catch up' so to speak? My hopes lie with the 4th season.
