Here's mine, a few days before graduation picture day I had a tiny zit under my nose.
It was barely noticeable but I was afraid someone would see it, I washed my face with clearisil
a few times. Then, I heard about putting toothpaste on a zit would make it disappear over night.
The second I put it on, my skin felt as if it was burning. I ignored it thinking it was working.
I woke up the next morning and washed the toothpaste off my face. I found a dark mark where the toothpaste was.
It had burned my skin, or something.
The mark took about 1 month or disappear completely.

So do you have any stories?

urm... let's see... no I can't think of any right now.

no, wait... I'm in a middle of horror right now icon_sad.gif

there is a zit on my jaw and I can't keep my hands off it... I just rip skin off so it gets red and everytime the skin on it gets hard, I rip it off so it will never vanish icon_sad.gif I try to keep my hands off it but it isn't working icon_sad.gif

that's so bad, Natasha and ditta!

Here's mine: When I was in eight grade (two years ago), I had really long hair (I don't now, I cut 12 inches off for locks of love last june). Anyway, I had washed it and wanted to make it dry wavey, so, still wet, I tried to use a rolly brush (like, one of those brushes that are a cylinder with bristles all around) to roll my hair around to make it wavey.
Obviously this was a stupid idea, and on my first try, the brush got massively stuck in my hair!
I was freaking out because it was the night before a dance recital and I kinda needed hair for that. I tried so hard to get it out, but I either hurt my head or got it more stuck, and I was crying. I had to wait for my mother to come home, so for two hours I was sitting watching tv and struggling with the brush. Finally she came home, and after a LOT of tugging, we got it out. But I lost so much hair on that side of my head. It was pretty gross... Today, it hasn't grown back completely, so my hair always looks weird and sort of flat on that side, even with a different part and hair style ^^

Posted by: dittadulla Aug 14 2008, 8:48 PM

jeez, I totally know these brushes icon_sad.gif SO ANNOYING! it just gets stuck in my hair. although I didn't lose any hair.

Posted by: Riiana Aug 14 2008, 8:58 PM

LOL yeah I have a brush like that icon_biggrin.gif

Oh god heres another one about hair :

I was in school just hanging out with half of my year (this was a couple of months ago) and so one of my freinds, which is a boy (I swear to god they are all so stupid), decided that he will comb my hair.
Now I didnt have a problem with that, but then he got a chunk of hair and put it on the brush then just started twirling it. You have no idea whatsoever how tangled up it got with my hair!
This was at break time and we only have a 15 minute break then its back to lessons until Lunch, so people tried to take the comb out but it just got even more stuck, so unfortunately I actually had to cut that bit off icon_biggrin.gif
Its not even noticable, and thank God that it was near the back of my head which is where a lot of my hair is icon_biggrin.gif

Posted by: dittadulla Aug 14 2008, 10:16 PM

oh, jeez icon_sad.gif at least it was at the back icon_biggrin.gif

well, my friend [a girl] got into it once and she didn't lose hair. but she didn't take it bad. she said just smiling that maybe we would need to cut off the hair. oh, I hate those brushes icon_sad.gif

Lol I was nearly in tears!
I love my hair! XD

Posted by: dittadulla Aug 16 2008, 10:04 PM

I love my hair too^^ it's the favorite part of mine^^ it is beautifully red^-^

Posted by: Music123 Aug 21 2008, 10:14 AM

I have one, I was told this so I am not sure if its true.
There was a woman who loved to dye her hair really light blonde (almost white). The dye she used was toxic (this happened around 1980) and bad for her hair. She dyed her hair again (as usual) and when she went to wash it off in the bath tub all her hair fell into the bath. Her hair fell out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This story really scared me

Posted by: humbu111 Aug 21 2008, 12:25 PM

Haha, thats funny Music. And Natasha, how long did it take for the dark mark to go away?

Posted by: Another Morning Aug 21 2008, 11:14 PM

I've had my hair caught in a round brush, too .___. Those things are dangerous. We had to cut it out, but it was just at the nape of my neck and there wasn't too much hair caught in it, so it wasn't noticable. And this isn't really a story so much as a frequent occurance, but I have faily long hair and it always gets caught in desks at school and doorknobs and stuff T__T

I know somebody who actually thought that Nair was a shampoo and used it on her head. >< (for those of you that don't know, Nair is a hair removal cream)

And my other friend's mom was trying to bleach her hair blonde and it turned out lavender >___> I have no idea what she did. I'd actually kind of like lavender hair, but she freaked out.

Posted by: Jahnavi Aug 22 2008, 3:24 AM

Lol, I'd like lavender hair too! But I don't know that many adults who'd be happy about it.

Posted by: esca Eterna Aug 23 2008, 5:28 AM

Another Morning- What happened to your friend, may I ask?!
Yeah, I'd totally go for purple hair ^^ But I guess I'll have to settle for dark brown >.X

Posted by: Jahnavi Aug 23 2008, 8:34 AM

Same here, I'm stuck with dark brown. I'd love to maybe streak my hair when I'm older.

Posted by: LinneaKou Aug 25 2008, 12:48 AM

Beauty and I don't get along. XD

First story: I will never cut my hair. Why? I cut it in KINDERGARTEN and decided I hated it short, so I haven't cut it since. ...Well, I've trimmed it from time to time, but it's always been long.

Second story: One day - the day before school pictures, I might add - I decided I wanted lightly wavy/curly hair and had my mom braid my hair into two separate pigtails. Then I sprayed it - not with a fine mist, also - with water from my mom's squirt bottle. The next day, I had the Frizz. And, by the way, I have Latino-type hair that frizzes up the second it comes into contact with humidity.

Third story: I decided at the end of this past June to dye my hair reddish. It looked great. Then it washed out. So at the end of July, I re-dyed it with a different, "long-lasting" brand.
Yeah, it washed out again. -_-
I'd give anything to have either red or black hair. Like, Asian-black. I've always thought that type was so pretty. >.<
My mom claims the reason my hair won't hold color is because it's "virgin". It shouldn't matter - I got Garniers Fructis dye, which claims that it works for both seasoned and newcomer hair.
Whatever. I wanna lawyer. And a stylist.

Posted by: Jahnavi Aug 25 2008, 2:19 AM

Lol, you want Asian hair? I'd trade you mine any day if I could! (It's a little more dark brown than black, but compared to American brunettes, it's pretty black...)

I think the term "virgin" hair means that it's never been colored before. Some people have very strange results because their hair doesn't take to hair coloring well though. My mom dyes peoples hair a lot, and this girl we know, she's always had the strangest take to color. One time they were trying to remove color, and usually you use absolute blonde for that so it's like a clean canvas, but her hair color turned three different shades of green. From her scalp to her ears it was a light blonde with a tinge of green, near the middle it was darker and a few inches away from the ends it was dark green. Now try living with that. D: And you shouldn't do a lot to your hair all at once because that weakens it, so she had to wait a day or so to fix it.

But I hattteeee hair color, I've had it since middle school. It's all fun at first, you can be any shade you want, UNTIL your hair starts growing and your roots start showing. >< And my hair grows quick so that's something I've been frustrated with many times. I've been literally every shade in blonde, red and brown since I was younger I looooved to experiment with it. But, after awhile I got sick of having to deal with fixing it after the sun had bleached it out, water/certain shampoos can damage the color and so on. It's just not worth it, so around prom, I matched the color of my roots to this Warm Ash Blonde color, and that's what I've had ever since, my roots aren't so noticeable, even if my roots are a few inches long and the color has been damaged (it's extremely light compared to my prom pictures now.) But bottom line for me, color your hair once, you'll be doing it for the rest of your life until you can settle with a color you're fine with that doesn't make the roots so noticeable.

Posted by: esca Eterna Aug 25 2008, 7:58 PM

Her hair turned green?! How long was it like that?
I've never dyed my hair, mostly because I think it;s fine the way it is. I mean, I'd love pink/purple/blue/red/orange/multicolored hair, or something (>.o) but I don't like to do too much to my hair, I don't want it to get hurt *pets hair* Uh, anyway, that's smart of you Hirondelle, to match your hair color to your roots.

Posted by: Hirondelle Aug 25 2008, 9:00 PM

Thanks esca Eterna. xD Her hair was green for a little while, the bad thing is, we were all on a vacation together when they wanted my mom to color their hair. So I think she spent at least 2 days on the beach with her hair like that and another when they got back from it. <<; She didn't want to color her hair because the color wouldn't be right anyway, and she was just going to wait to get to a professional that would possibly know what to do with hair that takes to color weird like that.
I'd LOVE to mess around with unnatural colors, but only if my hair was platinum blonde xD That way it'd be purely the color. I've actually put temporary wash-out pink in my hair and it just didn't look good even when it was new because my natural hair color came through. :<

Posted by: Another Morning Aug 25 2008, 9:36 PM

She covered the lavender with a different dye XD But yeah, she had purple hair for a few hours, that was amusing.

I'm currently on the hunt for purple dye. Last time I dyed my hair red with a white streak in the front, and this time I want to go for red and purple. Any body have any suggestions? I've heard that using henna and indigo gets really vibrant color and is good for you hair, so I might look into that.

Posted by: Jahnavi Aug 26 2008, 2:11 AM

Well, henna makes your hair reddish-orange, so it sounds like a good idea to try that.

Posted by: esca Eterna Aug 27 2008, 3:37 AM

Did you bleach the white part or what?
Totally go for purple >.^ ] It's always a good choice (and one of my fave colors :3)

My friend dyed the front pieces of her hair orange-red. She's so in love with it ^^ which she needs for her confidence.
'' My other friend (whom I can hardly call friend anymore) dyed random sections of hers pink and black, and my other friend (of the same situation) dyed her hair dark blue with- get this- bright red and neon green/yellow highlights, with blonde streaks on the under layer. Some people say it looks like McDonald's threw up on her hair // ... So: if you ever consider dying your hair neon green/yellow, red, and dark blue ... well, just don't do it ;;

Posted by: Hirondelle Aug 27 2008, 4:31 PM

Haha, I saw a girl with purple hair yesterday at my school actually!
Oooh dark blue....bright red, neon green/yellow and blonde streaks? Oooh....that sounds overboard. <<; There was one girl in my class last year and she had natural black hair and she'd always bleach out certain sections of her hair (like her bangs and some under layers) then dye them pink. She always had the best color, the way she maintained it it looked almost natural despite being hot pink <<;

Posted by: dittadulla Aug 29 2008, 7:52 PM

wow, I can imagine black haired with hot pink bangs... that looks cool^^

Posted by: Another Morning Aug 29 2008, 10:22 PM

Yeah, I bleached one lock of hair right in the front on the right side. XD I kind of want to do the same thing with the purple, only in more places.

And that blue with red and neon green and whatever else sounds way overboard >__> And you know it's bad if I'm saying it's too much.

Posted by: esca Eterna Sep 4 2008, 11:21 PM

Yeah >.x Now it's faded to like, a black/brown/blue color with blonde, it looks pretty cool except she thinks she's like, the best person ever because of it.
Oh! I have another horror story!
Oaky, so I've never had a problem with my skin, it's always nice and calm and stuff. So . . . this summer when I was in China I didn't bring exfoliater because I didn't think it would matter too much. So everything was fine until I got back and realized my skin looked like poison ivy blew up on it ( ;; except not really). So I was mad trying to find creams and medicine and soaps and cleansers to get rid of it. So for the whole two months of summer vacation I was freaking out at my skin. I found this wicked intense medical pads, but I was so desperate for it to go away (( because school was starting soon )) that I left it on my forehead for a long time. When I took it off, everything looked fine, but the next morning it had actually burned my skin! It's like, dark brown rough spots all over my forehead x.x and cover up doesn't exactly do it's job too well there ;; so that's what I looked like for my school picture *slams head again the computer screen* Blahhhh //

I remember another one about hair:
I was little and my grandma coloured her hair red I saw her do it and asked her if I could have some too, she put on a tiny bit of the colouring and the next morning my hair was half red! My hair is naturally light and dark brown so I looked strange with half red hair. People always asked me "Is your hair naturally like that?"
The worst part is that it didn't come out for about 2-4 years, it came out very slowly, it took ages for it to be back to its normal colour. I don't think I want to dye my hair anymore lol

Posted by: Riiana Sep 7 2008, 12:45 PM

About a month ago I put temporary pink streaks in my hair but they kept coming out everytime I brushed my hair so I'm actually going to buy propper hair dye and get one of my friends or someone to put the streaks in XD

And I have naturally brown hair which is quite dark at the top and almost blonde at the bottom.

Posted by: dittadulla Sep 7 2008, 1:00 PM

aww, that's so bad, Esca and music. too bad the color keeps coming out, Riiana.

I have never dyed my hair. once a woman that was cutting my hair she said that so many people who came at the hair salon wanted my hair color^^ it is red- orange and with a bit of golden stripes^^

Posted by: Riiana Sep 7 2008, 1:03 PM

Same I've never dyed my hair, but I want to try it out and see if it looks nice.

Posted by: dittadulla Sep 7 2008, 1:10 PM

I would like to try it out too :/

Posted by: Music123 Sep 13 2008, 10:19 AM

Orange with golden stripes sounds like a cool hair colour icon_smile.gif

Posted by: Another Morning Sep 14 2008, 5:21 AM

My friend shaved one of her eyebrows off yesterday by accident O: I was there, it was pretty funny. But yeah, I don't know what she's gonna do come Monday when she's got to go back to school.

Posted by: winxclub-joy Sep 14 2008, 5:37 AM

o.O, i wonder if I can dye my hair to blond....

Posted by: humbu111 Sep 17 2008, 10:02 PM

Lol I have this old baseball cap that has glued on letters saying "SPORTING EXCELLENCE," but over time the "S" and "P" came off, and the "O" and "R" look pretty close to "D" and "A" in that font, so u know what it looks like it says now!

Posted by: PinkSugar Oct 3 2008, 4:59 AM

One of my worst disasters came with haircolor almost 7 years ago when I first starting dying my hair red. You see, my hair is naturally dirty blonde, and I wanted it to be a really dark cherry red, for two hair dyes, I had the color I wanted, but on the third one it turned out orange. I have no idea how it happened.

Anyways, then I decided to go platinum blond which was a huge mistake because my skin is ghastly pale, so it didn't look so great. Not to mention, it was yellow-straw, not a natural blond at all. So, I still to a dark brown now, though my hair likes to lighten up on its own. I've always been good about getting natural highlights even with dyes.

Aaand... I got my bangs cut too short one time, and I felt really embarrassed to go to school because they were hideous. Luckly my hair grows fast.

Another horror story was my first attempt at eyeliner. I've perfected it now, but I was freaking out when my friend was trying to put it on me so bad the first time that it looked utterly ridiculous when she was done.

I've never had a horrible wardrobe experience, though. It's mostly make-up/hair errors.

Posted by: esca Eterna Oct 7 2008, 9:54 PM

Somehow dying hair always goes wrong it seems ^^
My sister got her hair dyed this dark purple red black brown all at the same time color, and it bled on to the shower cap, and I had to use the shower cap, and then I had this big pink blotch on the back of my neck ;;
♥

Posted by: bloom_daphne Oct 13 2008, 4:48 AM

Once I cut my hair so short, it was horrible and because my hair has alot of volume it puffed up
So my solution was braiding it but i ended up looking like some wannabe gangster kid. None of my friends even recognized me icon_sad.gif

Posted by: Winx_cutie189 Nov 3 2008, 10:24 AM

The only horror in my hair is it kinda has white hair! OMG! I was like freaking out because of that.. My classmates were so teasing me like "OMG! Your a real adult like 78 years old, Jade!" and also got a comb like what they said.. i wanna make my hair look better using a brush, when i only found this brush and used it, once again it's a bad idea.. it got on my hair and i was so irritated and started to hate my hair and thought of me having a very bad hair day.. but i managed to take it and it got a bit of my hair.. but seriously, it hurts and i fell like swearing in my mind.. o.o

Poor you. Hopefully it is better. Rule of thumb; NEVER EVER PUT TOOTHPASTE ON A ZIT.

lolz your a funny one. i havnt seen a cap since primary school xDD haha
itz cute!! and vewyy stripyy o-o *steals stipy-ness*

eep i had a bad experience with my friends hair XDD
I always wear my hair boofy and big, but really messy, and straight at the ends
like this: http://s3.amazonaws.com/readers/socyberty/2008/07/29/240953_17.jpg
But boofier and straighter at the ends (and im a girl and not a black head XD)
anywho i love my hair and i adore it crimped for extra fluff and a few clips in it too for bling XD
So i went to a friends party (whose a guy) and he drew major attention onto how nice my hair looked that day XD (i thought he was joking so i payed no attention to him)
then he asked me to make his hair all fluffy and messy, so i did.
and since im so clumsy and distracted most of the time, i would be talking to someone else and accidentally burn him with the straightner.
whats worse i took the opportunity to make his hair 10 times as huge as mine and make him look
real cute, but i was fluffing his hair up and talking with somone at the same time, and all of a sudden i pull on the comb, and its stuck (didnt bother looking)
pulled again, still wont budge. there was such a knot in his hair, we had to pull it out and lots of hair too >.<
he wont let me touch his hair no more (good on him too xD) poor thing!
sooryy Shawwn icon_razz.gif
