Anyone around here play The Secret World?
It's a horror-themed MMO Rpg set in modern times and it's really good. It has a very good story and characters and a very different, interesting way of progressing your character (There's no levels, but rather you earn points to place in skills and abilities). I highly reccomend it. That said, it's a mature title and they don't shy away from gore, swearing, sex and all that good stuff. But it works here, seeing the type of world you live in.

If you want to find me, I play on the Arcadia server as:
FrostScythe (Illuminati)
Nipuk (Templars)
CrimsonIncubus (Dragon)

Once I get my computer sent to me I'll definitely look you up. The best part of this game is that the servers don't matter. It's totally cross server.

Sure thing!
By this time, I already made two more characters. (Uhm, I really adore the game's costumes, so I'm trying to 'catch 'em all', both male and female. That and I have a problem concerning creating alts.)

They're CeruleanSpark (Templar) and Shadowthrower (Illuminati).
And people wonder why I progress slowly in MMOs.... <<;;

Lol, I was playing during the original golden week and got the Golden Tuxedo really cheap.
I also have the golden glowing eyes, green, red, and blue.

I'm currently saving for my favorite faction-specific outfit. I already have the Templar's Witch Hunter one. (Which is a strong contender for favorite costume in the entire game. It helps that the abilities are really easy for me to use.) and the Dragon's Wu costume. (Which is awesome, but doesn't quite fit my character's baby-face.)

I have almost all the Templar specific outfits. I especially love the priest and the paladin outfits.

I personally adore most of them. They have this military/urban fantasy edge to them that I like.

Secret World Legends

It's Free now. Currently in a closed Beta you can sign up for.
If you're going for it, go ahead and give me a message. Maybe we can meet up or something.

So looking forward to Legends. We have to play together if we can! I hope we can.
I hope they really fix things. I saw their dev stream today and wasn't too impressed with the combat that they said they were making better.

I hope so, too! That'd be fun.

My biggest worry is about the character creation, myself. I'm, like, super-invested in my characters and I don't see myself recreating them with this.
That said, it's not a dealbreaker for me. I remember jokingly saying that if Sonnac was there, I'd be there too, but that was only slightly facetious. I'm such a fangirl.

Lol, yeah, I'm not too looking forward to re-creating my character. It's a good thing they're leaving the old servers up.

Yeah, that softens the blow immensely.
And I personally appreciate that we at least get to have clothes we bought. (I've probably spent more money on clothes then is healthy. I am such a Fashionista when it comes to games.)

I've spent way too much money on costumes too. I love that I can make the characters look the way I want them to without worrying about stats. I made 2 males and a female character just because some of the outfits look better on certain genders and I want the best of both worlds XD

Same! I've got, like... six. All with their own style.
Wonder if Deck Uniforms will make a return...

They will. I hear there may even be more.
The main differences to my knowledge are as follows:
1. No more ability wheel. It's replaced with something "less confusing"
2. There are starter classes. You can still learn everything in the game, but they make it easier to start out with a class.
3. There are now going to be levels. They explained that the game always had them, but they were invisible to the player. Again, the player can still get every weapon and ability, it's just visibly quantifiable how much they have achieved.
4. The combat is now retical based with an actual attack button for basic attacks, and then the player will be able to use spells/casts and stuff like that as normal. This will, apparently, make the combat more action based.
5. The game in no longer an MMO and is an Multiplayer action game. I can't remember but I think the max players per server will be about 15. You can still run into people but this will make thing run more smoothly.
6. More outfits and new character design options like hair and faces.
7. The game uses the same engine so other than new textures the graphics are relatively the same.
8. To start the game will come out with the vanilla TSW content and then Tokyo and the add-ons will be added later for free.
9. All updates will be free.

Yeah. I've been keeping a close eye on it myself, too.
Like, I know there's a lot of negativity around some of the new systems and how they're simplified, but... I personally don't mind. I admit I WAS one of those people who did get confused by some of the old systems, so a change-up in that regard might not be all that bad for me.

Like, I get why people don't like it, heck, a lot of players I know say it's the reason they like the game so much, but I also get why they'd simplify it.

June 26th, if I'm correct. Might change, you never know with video games.
