try restarting it as sometimes my laptop loses sound and i need to restart it to fix it

What operating system are you running? The volume of your speakers might be too low to hear or muted or your speakers just isn't plugged in.

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Right-click Command Prompt > (if Vista, click Run as administrator then Continue, if XP, click Open) > Type "sc start audiosrv" > Try playing music again

Here is my suggestion. Download a program called Belarc. it will scan your system and tell you all the specs. You can send me the stuff it posts. That way we can see if it's detecting your audio card. If it's there you may just need to reinstall the software for it. Belarc will give you the details so you know where to get them.

Certainly looks like the driver to your sound card is gone.

I've done some digging on the limited information.

Here is the driver for your motherboard. It should fix your sound.

Please install this and let me know if you're still having problems. Remember you need to reboot your computer after installing and go into your control panel to make sure the correct sound driver is selected.
