I also like the idea of magical realms in winx...I don't exactly know another way to word it. Its not just one place, its several different realms if you get what I mean.

I love watching the Winx show, as yes, it's of a very good quality and very detailed. I don't watch the W.I.T.C.H show, as the characters look nothing like the ones in the book. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the book series and have all of them so far. So for tv show, hands down Winx. For literature, W.I.T.C.H. 10/10 both of 'em.

Upon browsing youtube, I came across many 'winx vs WITCH' fan-made videos. I personally don't like WITCH at all, but my sister hasn't failed to fill me in on everything (she is a big fan o-O). Personally, if I had to make a vs. video, my winners would go as follows (dunno where else I should post this anyways):
If:
Bloom vs. Will= Bloom wins
Flora vs. Cornelia= Cornelia wins
Layla vs. Irma= tie
Stella vs. Taranee (spelling?)= Stella
Musa vs. Hay Lin (spelling again?)= Tie?
Tecna vs. Elyon (spelling...again...>_<)= Tecna

Just felt like posting that. Would anyone agree or disagree?

For the most, I agree, but I usually use this match-up (More personality driven then power driven):

Will vs. Bloom: Bloom
Cornelia vs. Stella: Stella
Taranee vs. Tecna: Tecna
Layla vs. Irma: Irma
Hay Lin vs. Musa: Tie (But in favor of Musa)
And most of the time, Flora kinda hangs there........

Powers don't really match too mucch difference to compare

they are pretty much the same girls, just in witch, the girls are younger and they have different powers, like stella is moon and sun, but shes girly, so is cornelia and her powers are similar to floras. same with irma and layla, they both are kinda tom-boyish, same powers (sorta) but different races. Will and bloom have different powers, yet they are both red haired and the "leader" of their groups.

It's the whole magic difference. W.I.T.C.H. uses Magic based off the four elements, while Winx's magic is more in tune with the girl's interest and soul. I guess it could be stretched that Music/Sound could count as air...... but that's a pretty far stretch.

yeah good point about the different powers. That is a pretty far stretch. I also like the villans in winx club better than w.i.t.c.h because the ones in w.i.t.c.h are just weird.

I find WITCH to be dull. The characters, to me, don't really have enjoyable personalities. They're kind of boring actually. Winx seems to go more in-depth with each girl's personality, thus, making the characters in winx club more likable from my point of view.

I think that the overall feeling of Winx is more 'colorful' then W.I.T.C.H., and not just the animation. I always felt that Winx was a labor of love, while W.I.T.C.H. was more of a labor of...... profit, actually. To cash in on the success of the comics.

yeah the animation of witch is a lot more, darker if you want to say that. I like the lighter colorful stuff.

Not just the animation. I myself think the personalities of W.I.T.C.H. characters is a bit to...... average, in my opinion. The only one who behave really colorfull and unique are Hay Linn and her grandmother, one of the reasons they're my favorite characters.

I agree. While both cartoons are most likely for profit, I think that the winx creators didn't just have money in their minds when they created it. I'm sure they wanted it to be a cartoon that will attract many fans and be successful and liked by many people (which they have clearly accomplished).

I like W.I.T.C.H but do see your points, though at the start of season 2 and near the end of season 1 Cornilia and Caleb is quite good

yeah true, it seems witch was probably only made to make more money from the comics. I still would like to watch it though, but it is never on t.v. and I don't know where to watch it online.

Well i love winx better cause it`s better action,better romance,better colors,better magic,better bad guys even ^^
And they have kinda matching powers:
Bloom-taranee
Layla-Irma
Musa-Haylin
Flora-Cornelia
And maybe Tecna/Stella-Will but i think better Stella-Will

Still...those last powers dont actually match.
But winx is much better than W.I.T.C.H.It`s pretty addictive .lol.^^

yeah I mean winx just has more elements to it like more friendship, plus they show the winx girls at school more than w.i.t.c.h does and the story about a magical universe with fairies, pixies, witches, is a lot more appealing to younger audiences than another dimension with ugly monsters.
