Well, I just installed this Add-on for Mozilla Firefox called ColorfulTabs and it doesn't appear to be working properly. I don't see any colors on the tab at all. Here's more info if this can help.

Browser version: 3.5.1
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1
Installed Themes: Default 3.5.1
Installed Extensions: (All of these are currently enabled)
-AnyColor 0.3.0
-ColorfulTabs 3.9.3
-ColorZilla 2.0.2
-Diccionario de Español/España 1.2.1
-Diccionario español Argentina 1.1.1
-Diccionario español Mexico 1.1
-Greasemonkey 0.8.20090123.1
-ImTranslator 3.2.8
-NortonToolbar 3.5.1
-Read It Later 0.9947

I did restart Firefox and I just don't get it. Maybe it's my settings or something.

My friend Arquileon on LJ had the same problem, she says it doesn't work with AnyColor on her computer.
So I think Colorful Tabs + AnyColor might be your problem. ^^
