I just wanted to share this hilarious review somewhere. Something about the exact wording chosen made me laugh.
http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/oct/18/this-weeks-games-news by Nick Gillett of the Guardian.
"Winx Club: Saving Alfea (DS, 3DS) is a cheaply made game about vulgar pink fairies."
What an interesting discription. The cheaply made impression is a bit of a worry for quality but I would hardly call the winx vulgar
Vulgar? Bloomix? I wouldn't call Winx vulgar in any transformation, but..... in a game focussed on Bloomix? One of the most fully covered transformations of them all? Seriously?
It's so silly. I feel like he gave it a bad review just because it was so drastically different from everything else on the list.
Yeah, the line-up is not fair at all. Most of those games are at least Double A 'Serious' games. To throw a cute little tie-in to a cartoon in there is just throwing it for the lions.
Not to mention I'm not a fan of short reviews. What do we really know of it? It's cheaply made and the reviewer doesn't like Winx Club and even in that short sentence has that distinct air of 'Girly games? Ew!'
I'm gonna buy it myself eventually, I'll try to give it a review from a fan-perspective, then.
^I can't wait to read your review. =)
Just be warned that 'Eventually' might mean 'Far into the next year'.
