1. did you start from the first episode? If not, start from the first episode. 2. Bleach is very character driven, so right now there is a lot of filler, and Ichigo rarely shows up because he is training. 3. Bleach has some of the coolest and action scenes ever in anime, give it a chance ^_^
Seriously though, start from the first episode and see what happnes. You might like it. Some episodes can be boring, but many are really good. There are a lot of filler episodes, but all of the long running series has that. Inuyasha is a prime example.

Bleach has its own pluses (heh... didn't mean to make a joke there) and minuses. I like One Piece better though.
Bleach: Plus: Massive cast, many of them very deep Only one filler arc, the Bount Arc, and it supposedly wasn't too bad Good action sequences and plot twists.
Minus: Ichigo isn't that great of a shonen hero, IMO, because he wins his fights so formulaicly. Otherwise, he's pretty decent The series suffers quite noticably from the "Shifting Power Levels of Evil", where for no reason, stronger villains show up from one arc to the next
One Piece: Plus: Also a massive cast, and some very inspirational moments in it A lot of colorful enemies, and lots of very unique enemies Explains the "Shifting Power Levels of Evil", since the Grand Line gets more and more dangerous as you continue on and only stronger pirates can survive there More good actions sequences and plot twists
Minus: Save for movie 5, Luffy has defeated all the "main villains", (East Blue captain, Crocodile, Enel, Lucci, Moria) and that was just because Luffy respected Zoro's battle against Saga Many times, characters survive lethal attacks. This is most notable when Pell survived a bomb that was said to "atomize everything within 5 kilometers" without a scratch one day later, although that fact was only implied at first and it took over 200 chapters to confirm it With only a few exceptions in over ten years, it's usually very hard to take a villain 100% seriously because of their sometimes goofy nature.
Me? I'm more of a One Piece person... but when it comes down to it, OP and Bleach are similar in that you need to get into it and understand everything that's going on
