I love the cartoon show, and am so excited for this movie to come out! I am hoping M. Night doesn't ruin it, and its good enough to make all three. So far the teaser trailer looks good, and the real trailer is out on super bowl sunday!

I am looking forward to Jackson Rathbone and Dav Patel the most in this movie!

What are your guys' thoughts?

I don't really like the cartoon that much, but I like the director of the movie so I'm going to see how it turns out.

As most of the cast is white where none of the characters weren't kind of iffy on the movie version.

Yea, i have decided to ignore the casting choices till i see the movie. but from what i have scene so far. i love noah ringer and jackson rathbone(there is a interview he has done talking about the movie, and it seems like he gets the character.)

Yeah, I know all about that. I'm so amped~ =3 I can't wait. I heard it's pretty going to be quiet some years to get all the books finshed, 3-5 years. I just love Avatar: The Last Airbender! ~ =D Hehe

Well, I once saw this trailer with the 'Aang' kid doing some airbending, and some of those wicked steam ships..... not to bad. But I'm one of those people who just doesn't like animated series and or games becoming live-action. (One huge exception, but that's because of the full CGI-ness of the main characters in that movie (No guesses))

Yea, i would prefer them to continue the anime first, but i always love live - action movies. I think they bring things more to life if done right, and since the series ended and barly plays on tv, im all for more Avatar!

I'm iffy on the movie, but I'll probably end up seeing it. I was one of the people that was really confused when they went with the all white cast. And then they had a chance to replace Zuko, the one character who IS supposed to be pale and pasty...and they went with Dev. .___. At least it isn't Zuko McCartney, I guess.

Oh yeah, and as for Shamalan directing...I'm trying to just reserve my judgment until I see it. But I've never been a huge fan of his, and I'm really hoping he doesn't mess it up.

first - the first trailer will be during the super bowl - and the longer one will play with percy jackson(which i dont want to see....)

Not bad. The effects look decent, as do the costumes. I'm also impressed they actually took a young boy to play Aang. (I hate it when they 'Age' young characters for live-action movies.)

Not bad, but trailers like this always make me fear they take out... y'know.... the humor. I know they have to make it epic to get in the audiences.... but for me, a prime reason to watch the Avatar cartoon was a good balance between epic action, character moments and silly humor.

Yes, i feel like they took out the humar from the traiter because its hard to portray anything good in such a short time, plus if you dont watch the show it wouldnt get you into it. Idk, i hoped for something better, but i will still go see the movie, (dressed up as katara!)

Well, they could've made a Momo cameo (Speaking of which, I fear he and Appa will probably be ditched) or have Sokka make a silly line... oh well, the first Transformers trailer didn't contain any humor, and that movie had some pretty silly scenes.

Actually Appa was in the superbowl trailer! and momo is confimed in the movie. So im not that worried about that. and in a review of the first showing of the movie the person said sokka seamed over acted, witch makes me thing he is just as silly as in the show!

Im pretty happy, i over hyped myself for the trailer... cant wait for the movie!

hmmm, yes,but if you havent scene the show you don't know what she is doing, and i think she looks great.

and i really like Nicole right now also, shes perfectly whinny and beautiful like Katara.

O: I found Appa!

I'll get the negatives out of the way first
- Still not thrilled with the casting. They just don't look like the characters I'm used to. I probably won't ever get over that XD
- I miss the epic Asian-themed score.
- The airbending looks kind of lame.

And now, the positives
- The girl does sound like Katara in the voice, so there's that at least.
- Appa!
- The other bending styles look pretty cool
- While not epic Asian, the music is dramatic and kinda cool.

I am so happy they are makig three movies! I thought it would be crap cramming the whole thing into one movie. My expectations have gone up knowing they'll have a movie for each season!

Yeah air bending doesn't look so great.

I think she kind of looks like katara.

I don't like their choice for Suko.
