Haylie didn't blame Shinji. Newbies always complained about the food and caused a rucus. She hated to admit she had been reluctant to eat the food at first, but she also realized complaing was futile.

Once he was sure he was alone, Shinji sat down and looked up at the sky. He liked that.... wether or not the sun shone, wether it rained or even snowed.... the sky was always there, and no one could take it away.

Mercedes just walked around outside. A car drove by blasting the radio, the music was very appealing to her. About 2 seconds later the car drove off. "Television, Radio, anything" she said walking into the orphanage,"is any of that here?"
