“Where am I?” Sky thought aloud. He opened his eyes to see only himself in endless white space, alone. Then suddenly came a voice. It had a familiarity to it, all too familiar, perhaps. But think as he might, he could not make out to whom it belongs to. It was gentle. Distant yet clear, and although it had a lightness in it, it too possessed a certain sense of sadness- as if it was missing something dearly.
“Sky.” The voice called.
“Who are you? Where are you?” Sky said back, confused, though still in the midst of trying to figure out who this person is.
“It’s me, Sky. Don’t you remember me?” the voice came again, now sounding closer than before.
“No, who are you? Please tell me who you are and what am I doing here!” he replied.
“It’s me.”
Sky turned around to see the face behind the voice as it came into full view. Bloom.
“N-no…it can’t be!” Sky cried out, putting his hand to his mouth as he took several steps backwards. Tears were threatening to spill from eyes.
“Yes, Sky. It’s me.” Bloom said, extending her hand towards him. It had been well over ten years since she had been killed in the final battle, shortly after Domino was restored and she was engaged to Sky. The three ancient witches, including their descendants pursued Bloom for her Dragon’s Flame once more. Again, they failed but in destroying Bloom, they succeeded and the Flame was finally put out by King Oritel and Queen Miriam who were parents to Bloom and Daphne. They were devastated by the fact that it was because of greed for it, both their daughters were lost. However, just to sustain the entire magical dimension, King Oritel kept a small part of it in a secret chamber guarded by impenetrable magic no one knows but himself.
“Bloom…you don’t know how much I’ve longed to hold you once more, to see your face again..” Sky stepped forward, saying this as a silent tear streamed down his cheek.
“Don’t cry, my dear. I know the past years have been most difficult for you.” Bloom said, raising her hand to wipe it away. Her touch felt almost like air, like as if she wasn’t even there at all. And her hand, once filled with comforting warmth now possessed neither heat nor cold.
“If only…if only I could have saved you back then…” He said, feeling self hatred once more, which he had felt before countless times after Bloom’s passing. All these while he had blamed himself and a few times it hurt so bad, he had attempted suicide but each time he tried to die, he was brought back into the world of the living.
“No, it wasn’t your fault, it is not and it will never be.” Bloom cut in.
“Yes it was! I was not good enough for you, Bloom. I could have stopped Icy, I could hav-“
“Say no more, Sky.” Bloom silenced him, placing a delicate finger to his lips. “You know that Icy had become much, much powerful after we had restored my kingdom because of all the hate and anger she harbored within her soul. You know that after she had inflicted that very wound deep in my chest, that no one, not even the most miraculous of healing medicine, could heal me completely. Either way, I was to die. And remember, I do not blame you for it. You couldn’t have beaten Icy too.”, she added.
Bloom continued, “I have been watching over you. I think you should get married to Diaspro too. It’s high time you started a family for you aren’t getting any younger and your kingdom has to carry on.”
“But don’t you dislike Diaspro?” Sky asked.
“No. I do not hate her anymore. She has changed her ways and she treats you well. Marry her, Sky and get over me, for my sake, for your sake, for your kingdom’s sake. Love can be nurtured.” Bloom said.
Sky just looked at her.
“Okay?” Bloom asked, giving him an encouraging smile.
He stood silent for a minute. “Okay.” He finally said.
“That’s the way, my darling.” Bloom smiled broadly and wrapped her arms around him in an embrace so comforting, so blissful, Sky felt he could remain that way forever.
“Remember that, Sky. You must be strong and carry on in life. I want to see you happy and stop grieving for me for that is not my wish. I love you and I never ever blamed you.” Bloom’s voice trailed off as she disappeared into the whiteness for good.

*In the healing chamber*
“Doctor! He’s awake!” Diaspro squealed in excitement.
“King Sky! You have come to!” the doctor said. Sky tried to sit up in bed but felt too weak.
“Easy, Sky. Don’t stress yourself out too much.” Diaspro said, concern evident in her voice.
“How did I get here?” Sky asked, voice hoarse. Diaspro shook her head, looking at him broken-heartedly and started to tear.
“Just promise me, no more suicidal attempts okay?” she said, clasping his hand in hers.
